Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh.

As every other young man i am curious, learning and have so many questions about our religion that I am struggling to find answers. I am very keen in Sikh history of our great warrior and protector Ancestor and will read any article or book I come along about our History. I will really appreciate any information Sangat can provide regarding my questions:

1: EATING MEAT : Where in Shri guru granth sahib I can find information about eating meat or not? Best answer I have got from family, friends and saints " its not written in guru grant sahib you cant eat meat but there is also no information about you can" I would not like to name the source. I know that human are tend to focus on more negative things so this is what I often hear from people" its not written that you cant eat meat"

My Findings: Our great Ancestors were warrior and protectors(protect those who are unable to protect themselves). A warrior needs to be strong, big, energetic, great stamina, powerful, fast, body control, mind control. Back in the days where there were not many food options available how our warriors were keeping up to their diet and proteins and nutrition's?. I know for the fact they were build internal strength and learned mind control by meditating (by doing path). Meat is an important source of proteins and other nutrition's (proved scientifically). To be able to fight all day and to lift a 15 sair khanda you must be very strong and needs lot of energy. Guru Gobind Singh ji was a great warrior, Hunting is one of the many skills a warrior has. Guru ji had a baaz( eagle) for Hunting purposes, He use to go hunting with other Sikhs. According to History ( any history book) first small battle Between Mugals and Sikhs were fought at now gurdwara Plah Sahib in Amritsar in 1634 over the claim of a Haunted animal! So Sikhs use to consume meat back in the day. PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT JUSTIFYING ANIMAL KILLING OR EATING MEAT AS WE HAVE SO MANY FOOD OPTIONS AVAILABLE THESE DAYS. I need to know why our religion is influencing us young generation to not consume meat ( kids go to school get bullied, if we are big and we are strong we can stand for ourself and others). Sangat ji I am just a young kid need answers nothing personal for anyone.

Who says you cannot be be strong, big, energetic, great stamina, powerful and fast without eating meat? One of the daily foods of the Khalsa Fauj was kala chaana. Guru Gobind Singh Ji's warriors would put the daal in a bag with water, tie it on the saddle and ride all day letting the daal soak. When camp was made for the night, the daal would be cooked and both men and horses would share. Just one cup of cooked kala chana has 15 grams of easily digested protein.
