Also is dealing in stocks and shares ok for Sikh?

Who wins a lottery? Think of the rate of return :)
Better give food to a hungry person than wasting money in lottery.
As far as stock is concerned, it is not gambling though it is a gamble. If one feels that you are crossing a line, you can give up investing in stock market. I can't say further as I haven't dealt with stock market. But my father did lose 40000 $ :D
