Kabeer Ji is saying that living in ego is worthless. Heaven and hell are here and now. Feeling merged in God with each breath and living in that state of innocence and kindness is heaven. Feeling alone, abandoned and cut off from God is hell. They are states of mind.

Pain of separation leads one to seek that merger. "Pain is the remedy..." If there is no longing for God, might as well burn that body and start over.

Kabeer Ji is not being literal. He is driving his point home through exaggeration.
