Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Is it wrong to do on prescription medication to help me concentrate on my studies. I have found it really difficult to focus and get my work done since a very young age, and this problem has started to affect my education more and more during recent years. I meditate daily, and am able to clear my mind from all distractions but there is just something holding me back from actually focusing on my work and being able to really soak in all the information being read. I've been struggling with this for years, and I have held off on being diagnosed with ADHD simply because I feel using medication to help me is almost a way to cheat life? Am i wrong? Could I be holding myself back by taking advantage of the medication that these docter's have to offer me?

Sat Nam,

Take the medication. If you truly have ADHD, it becomes significantly harder to concentrate, and you are at a severe disadvantage if you allow it to continue without proper treatment. "Cheating life" would be more like you taking ADHD medication not prescribed to you from another student just to try to get ahead. It seems to be a trending thing nowadays. Since that isn't the case, go and take care of yourself.

God bless you.
