In response to your question I think Guru ji will answer your question Please read the shabad below
Basant, Fifth Mehl: The shopkeeper deals in merchandise for profit. The gambler's consciousness is focused on gambling. The opium addict lives by consuming opium. In the same way, the humble servant of the Lord lives by meditating on the Lord. ||1||
Everyone is absorbed in his own pleasures. When the clouds and the rain come, the peacocks dance. Seeing the moon, the lotus blossoms. When the mother sees her infant, she is happy. In the same way, the humble servant of the Lord lives by meditating on the Lord of the Universe. ||2||
The tiger always wants to eat meat. Gazing upon the battlefield, the warrior's mind is exalted. The miser is totally in love with his wealth. The humble servant of the Lord leans on the Support of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
All love is contained in the Love of the One Lord. All comforts are contained in the Comfort of the Lord's Name. He alone receives this treasure, O Nanak, unto whom the Guru gives His gift. ||4||2||
Just compare a Gurbani addict and a Drug addict. And you will know the difference!
Weird question, It's the best addiction ever, I hope one day I will get addicted to my Guru.
At this point in my life. I am kind of addicted to gurbani, (and listening to vaheguru chants) normal is a societal construct. I used to think it was weird but now that I think about it, if this is weird then I do not want to be normal.
I am sometimes so addicted that, I have to listen to it almost most of the day. but still it makes me a happier person, and I still live a life, just not a destructive life.
basically it is the most liberating thing ever.
drug addict? huge difference, because drugs are temporary, waheguru is permanent and will be forever and always.

Are you sure your addicted to Gurbani and not in love with Gurbani?
Guru Ji says that whoever God has mercy upon, obtains the gift of his praises- and becomes King of King. So when a person seems "addicted," to gurbani, it's actually that the person has fallen in love with it. And what the effect of that? Constant Anand, peace and joy. But if u look when someone is addicted to drugs, what's the effect of that? They are consumed in Maya and the 5 evils: kaam (lust), krodh (anger), moh (attachment), lobh (greed), and ahankar (pride). Which indefinitely feels like hell- as you are apart from God u don't feel his presence. But when your eyes looks upon Gurbani as sweet, and your soul craves day in and out for lotus feet of the Guru, i tell u that is Heaven.
May God bless us all with his Mercy to find this "addiction" to Gurbani, and this is the only way we will cross the terrifying and terrible ocean.
