Mere Sikh Veero Atey Sikh Pehno, Sikh ladies are not allowed to perform duties of panj pyare And the reason behind is that when on the day of baisakhi Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj brought Kirpan in deevaan....he asked for a head for sacrifice, he didnt mention whether the head should be of me

There are ridiculous arguments on women participations as Panj Pyaras. When Guru Ji equated women with men, e.g. In Asa di vaar, why women can't be Panj Pyaras? Parochial arguments being put forward. Why do we claim that our religion is forward? Even I think women are not allowed during Palki carrying ceremony at Darbar Sahib. This must end in modern times. Our Sikh youth which is modern will find it obnoxious.
