ਨਾਲਿ ਇਆਣੇ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ ਜੇਹਾ ਜਾਣੈ ਤੇਹੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਕੋ ਨਿਰਜਾਸਿ ॥ ਵਸਤੂ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਸਮਾਵੈ ਦੂਜੀ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥
Company of one who is a slave to his desires never turns out beneficial. he does minds bidding without thinking of consequences His mind tricks him into thinking upgrading his materials will bring him happiness.
Should we avoid these ਇਆਣੇ (noobs) ?
I think here Gurbani means to stay away from hypocrites as they are considered stupid
Such kind of people will buy an Audi/ BMW and then always tell you that why don't you also get one and get stuck in the same nonsense I am.
Such kind of people ruining their lives and in good gesture ruin others lives too, 85% population is like this so society forces the one with awakened mind to become dumb too, as we have herd mentality.
Without judgement, and keeping our hearts open and filled with love, it is natural to discriminate between those we wish to spend time with and those we do not. As we progress on the path of Dharma, we naturally wish to avoid low-minded people and be with those who elevate us. It is a natural process.
