Is the purpose of Gurbani to stop evil ?
Do we take birth to suffer for the actions of previous lives ?
And does Gurbani prevents us from doing more in this life, because most people do evil as they are in misery they think others should also be in the same and Gurbani makes sure our desires and greed dies so that we don't atleast suffer in the next one ?
