What is the concern is in your life, you want to walk towards Guru. Or do all the fun stuff and then try to get your life on track? What does being a Sikh mean to you? We all make mistakes. We all make deliberate mistakes. Have you read the Hobbit? The wizard told the dwarf party to stick to the path in the Mirkwood forest. But they went off it looking at the lights and were lost in the darkness of the thick trees. Right now having fun is like a flickering light. You want to go and explore. Remember, big decisions are the ones we are forced to take. Life is influenced by the small choices we make every now and then.

i guess what bhaji is trying to say is....

following temptaion will only lead to ones mind being blocked by filth. we can have fun but not in an uncanny manner that therefore goes against the sikh rehat code of conduct to be freinds with benefits is clearly a breach of rehat and a kurehit i.e. haram- adultry with a woman or disrespect.

Hi :) We all have a conscious , that voice that tells u good from bad. Obviously u have a conscious because you are asking this question. When you continue to do what your heart desires (manmukhi) you are walking away from god (gurmukhi) living in manmukhi you have freedom (so u may think) but you might end up losing your dignity. Again if u keep doing manmukhi, your conscious will shut down completely and please dear dont let that happen to u. Living the path of gurmukhi is hard (thin as a hair strand and as sharp as a sword) but in the end you obtain dignity and radiance (nothing beats that)

So yes friends with benifits idea is terrible please reevaluate yourself. Sorry if that sounded harsh. In the end (some are close and far away from god based on actions they choose) u decide whether you wanna go close or away from god. :))
