Past lives don't matter. All that matters are the lessons learned from them. Out of 8.4 million incarnations, 84,000 are human incarnations. Whether one lived as this or that in a previous life matters not in this lifetime. Nothing is random. We create our own incarnation by our actions in previous ones. We do get memories from time to time, but they serve only to remind us of a deep lesson we have learned before.
