anik tapasi-aa karay ahaN kaar. narak surag fir fir avtaar.

This means that if some one to do lot of path then he naturally becomes/ feels superior than others and he goes to hell,

How to mantain balance of this ? we do path but also do other vices to feel normal or what ?

Look the whole concept of Sikhism is to realize the Hukam of Waheguru and also living in sehaj.There is always two types of voices one the voice of the soul and the other the voice of ego in a normal person.The voice of the soul is the hukam of Waheguru.When we do Naam jap we clean our soul and when we totally become pure we can easily listen the voice of our soul and we become one with Waheguru and our ego merges into universal consciousness.When we do vices we become impure and become far away from Waheguru. Good deeds and bad deeds-the record is read out in the Presence of the Lord of Dharma.

According to their own actions, some are drawn closer, and some are driven farther away.

Those who have meditated on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and departed after having worked by the sweat of their brows -

ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਕੇਤੀ ਛੁਟੀ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥ नानक ते मुख उजले केती छुटी नालि ॥१॥ O Nanak, their faces are radiant in the Court of the Lord, and many are saved along with them! ||1||

Secondaly Sikh Gurus were one with God.So what ever they were doing was in the hukam of waheguru or did things with there inner guidance.

This is about ego. When one does tapas (self-discipline) and becomes prideful about his accomplishments, then his ego and attachment will pull his soul back into the cycle of incarnations.

Anyone I have seen who does tapas gives advice to others to do the same, and has ego as in he thinks only what he is doing is right, how can someone get rid of it ?

He must mature in his own consciousness, understanding that his tapas is his blessing and that if others are blessed to work on themselves they will have their own upaya delivered to them.

Then by that logic, Gurus were wrong to preach their religion? I am confused

Our Gurus were not preachers. They were teachers. To those who come and ask with humility and grace, the formula is given and then practiced together.
