Well when Babaur came to Invade India Guru Nanak raised his voice against him due to which he has been imprisoned 500 years ago.Guru Arjun Dev ji peacefully protested(water element) and was tortured and Killed on the orders of Jahangir. After that Guru Hargobind Sahib ji did Armed struggle(Fire element) with Jahangir and fought many wars.Guru Tegh Bahadur peacefully protested(Water Element) and was tortured and killed on the orders of Aurangzeb. After that Guru Gobind Singh ji did armed struggle(Fire element) with Aurangzeb and fought many wars with Mughals.Similarly Shivaji and Maharana Pratap did Armed struggle with Mughals and fought many Wars with them. There is also a big role of Baba Srichand in freedom struggle from Mughal rule.https://www.sikhnet.com/news/great-founders-freedom-struggle-india.

Mahatama Gandhi lead the peaceful protest(Water element) against the British rule and Subhash Chander Bose(Fire element) led the armed Struggle and fought many wars against Britishers.Sikhs in Punjab did peaceful protests well as violent protest against the britishers which led to independence from British rule.

In 1980's - 1995 the Sikh freedom struggle was lead by Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale which i believe was a Violent Struggle or Armed Struggle Which led to a lot of Fire Element by even thinking of that brings stress.I think the role of Yogi Bhajan was of water element which brings peace.Today the Punjab is named as the NRI Punjab as all the Sikhs are moving abroad. What i think is that till the Sikhs become 960 million they should work more on the other 9 Sikh Gurus Qualities,Yogi Bhajan(Kundlani Yoga) bringing more of Water,Earth,Space and Air element.
