Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh Khalsa ji i have a question if someone can answer I would be very great full. Why does guru angad dev ji gave this shabad “Jis piaare seo nehu tis aagai maar chaliye Dhrig jeevan sansar taa kai paachhai jeevan” SGGS JI- ang83 Meaning- die before the one whom you love: To live a life after he dies is to live a worthless Life in this world.

And at the same place guru arjan dev ji says “Mannuk kee ttek brithee sabh jaan Devan ko ekai bhagvan” SGGS JI- 281 Meaning- reliance on mortals is in vain-know this well The great giver is the one waheguru.

My question here is that guru sahib says to be free of all attachments and also says that waheguru should be your only support and humans reliance is vain then why do Guru angad dev ji says the above sentence.

The death of which Guruji speaks is the death of identification with the ego. The one whom you love is Waheguru.

“Jis piaare seo nehu tis aagai maar chaliye Dhrig jeevan sansar taa kai paachhai jeevan”

For the sake of whom you love (God) put an end to your corrupt way of life .

“Mannuk kee ttek brithee sabh jaan Devan ko ekai bhagvan”

Putting hopes on other humans is futile, when in reality there is only one giver.
