A blind person can see God through Naam jap in his forhead and you can see many blind ragis. But the process of awakening of deaf and mute person stops he is very much similar to an animal as he can't also realize God.

I humbly disagree with Jai Singh Ji's reply. Any creature can realize God. As said in the 23rd pauri of Japji Sahib: "Even kings, who own oceans and mountains and treasure, are not equal to an ant, which forgets not its Maker." The experience of Shabd Guru is an inner experience. It manifests through the subtle body and does not need the sense organs to be experienced. Regardless of the state of one's physical body, the experience comes by Guru kirpaa.
