If shoes are removed to 1. show respect. 2. Keep the area around the Granth Sahib clean. 3. allow energy transmission. Does that mean wheelchair users are excluded from the prayer hall? I ask as the sangat is increasingly getting older and life expectancy is improving and furthermore, globally, wheelchair use is more common to keep community cohension and connection. So it seems to me, that an absence of a coherent and overall directive, that includes ALL gurdwaras, means wheelchair users are increasingly reliant on the goodwill of indivdual gurdwaras to be able to practice their right of worship. Surely, that is not keeping with the beliefs of inclusion, equality & respect?
