Kirtan from Harmandar Sahib Amritsar
Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh ji !!
Listening to Gurbani Kirtan from Harmandar Sahib Amritsar is really a heavenly experience and an Ecstatic Feeling in the core of heart and I use to keep the live kirtan ON for whole day in my office.
But it is very sad that these days most of the Ragis do kirtan on some song tune and do not abide by the original classical kirtan maryada which we use to listen when we were very small kids.
In those days there was no facility of hearing live kirtan any time anywhere. Now we have this great facility but there is no ruhaniyat in the Ragis kirtan and 'Mann bilkul nai Tikda'.
When we hear kirtan from Ragis like Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji, and some others who do kirtan in Raags only, we understand Gurbani so deeply even those shabads which we recite daily but do not understand.
My question is... "WHY THE AUTHORITIES ARE NOT TAKING ANY ACTION TO CHOOSE RAGIS WHO DO CLASSICAL KIRTAN ONLY WHICH IS BASIC MARYADA OF HARMANDAR SAHIB??? WHY KIRTAN IN HARMANDAR SAHIB IS BEING COMMERCIALIZED BY ADDING TAG OF HAZOORI RAGI HARMANDAR SAHIB TO ANY RAGI??? ARE THE RAGIS ARE CHOSEN BY APPROACH OF GRANTHIS OR HEAD GRANTHIS OR RELATIVES OF THEM???
My question may be Harsh but it is TRUE and it is my humble request... in fact it is humble request of a great group of SANGAT that please DO SOMETHING TO REVIVE THE MARYADA OF HARMANDAR SAHIB TO CHOOSE RAGIS WHO DO CLASSICAL KIRTAN.
Guru Gateh ji in hope that Authorities will do something to revive Classical Kirtan Maryada.
