Does Sikhi teach to live in the moment?

I read that numerous religions and philosophical teachings recommend one to live in the moment and not get distracted from the past or future, similar to focusing on the task at hand. Is this teaching supported in the Guru Granth Sahib or any other credible Sikhi source?

Yes

Most of the people are worried about what will happen in future and they think their worrying will solve something but they are wrong

naanak chintaa mat karahu chintaa tis hee hay-ay. O Nanak, don't be anxious; the Lord will take care of you.

God is Akaal => Not in Time When you meditate, you are supposed to be rid of time, not thinking about things in past and worried about future but living in the moment (outside the realm of time).

But this also means that you don't waste time, Present is called Vartmaan => Consumable, you consume time with each breath, But some thing that is Consumed is gone and not to be thought of (unless you learn something from it)
