Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh

I am a 20 year old Amritdhari girl. With god's grace I started to wake up at Amrit Vela and its been an year since I am following this routine. I was so determined to manage my routine. I never compromised with it. It was a necessity for me and It gave me a great sense of self satisfaction and happiness. Due to my ill health for about a month in winters, I was not in a condition to wake up this early. It broke my routine. Since then I am not able to stick to it. My stubborness really helped me eariler into following everything but now, I have loosen it a bit. I am still struggling to cope up. I do wake up at Amrit Vela still but I am not able to maintain regularity. Because sometimes when I am tired, I feel lazy to wake up. How should I recover what I was having earlier? Also I want to start meditation early in the morning before doing nitnem but as soon as I close my eyes I start feeling sleepy. What could be done for this?

Sat Sri Akaal Phenji. I understand what you're going thru. The question here is what time do you sleep at night ? You should sleep early and then you can wake up early. But if this isn't working also^ then I think you should drink plenty of water before going to bed. This will take time. I hope I helped you, phenji.

Gurfateh Bhen Ji! Here is an older video we made on this subject. It may help you. Ultimately, we awake in amrit vela by His grace. Go to bed a bit earlier than usual, pray to Guru Ji to wake you at the time you wish, do kirtan sohila, breath deeply and sleep.

"Getting Up Early in the Morning."
