The lines which are recited before the Ardas, Tu Thaakur Tum Peh Ardas, Jeeo Pind Sabh Tayree Raas..................... Are these lines part of the Ardas or is it optional as one need not necessarily recite it. What does the Rehat says on this?

Also these lines, Theekar fore dilees sir, Prabh par kiyo payan, Tegh Bahadur si kriya, Kari na kinhoo aan. Are these lines also part of the Ardas. If not, then what are these lines known as and why only in selective Gurdwaras these above lines are recited.

Tu Thakur Tum Peh Ardas is not part of the actual ardas but precedes it. It's always read at the Gurdwara Sahib before the Ardas, but I believe it is optional when you do ardas on your own. I've always read it anyways.

Theekare For Dilees Sir... Is from the Dasam Bani Ang 131. It is not lines of the actual Ardas. I have actually never heard those recited. Have you heard them sung after or before the ardas? Perhaps they are sung lovingly in memory of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji depending on if the Gurdwara Sahib has historical relevance.

I have heard both the lines being sung at almost all the Gurdwaras in Delhi as well as NCR. For example, at the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, the house of Bala Pritam Ji there too the lines Tegh Bahadur Si Kriya are sung on a daily basis.

In Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and at other Gurdwaras the procedure is like this: 1. Tu Thaakur Tum Peh Ardas (first these lines are sung) 2. Ardas is done 3. Agya bhai Akal ki tabhi chalayo Panth (these lines are sung) 4. Theekar fore dilees sir (then these lines are sung) 5. Hukamnama

But interestingly, Rehat Maryada is silent on this. If i am not wrong, all these lines are not mentioned in the Rehat.

Interesting. I am in Canada and have not heard these lines sung after Agya Bhai Akal Ki at any Gurdwara Sahib I've attended. Otherwise same procedure. I didnt see anything about it in the rehat maryada either
