I have seen that Sahibzaade the sons of guru gobind singh ji are given more respect then any other Sikh wether he or she is Amritdhari or not. If Guru Gobind Singh ji did not discriminate between the Sahibzaade and the Singhs and kaurs why are the sahibzaade wearing kalgis and given similar respect as gurus in pictures and paintings ? If older sahibzaade gave the same sacrifice as the other Singhs in battle of chamkaur why do we always give Sahibzaade more credit than Singhs ? Little sahibzaade gave similar shaheedi to kids like Bhai mani singh jis son and baba banda singh bahadur singh jis son but we give sahibzaade more credit why is that? I really respect everyone in Sikhi including Baba Ajit Singh , Baba Jujhar Singh , Baba Zorwar Singh , and Baba Fateh Singh but if the Khalsa paanth doesnt beileve in special relationships why are Sahibzaade called princes ?

I’ve seen pretty much all shaheeds being given respect equally. We remember them all in our ardas. Paintings and pictures are people’s imagination. They have made the Guru Jis and Sahibzaade as they imagined them. So we can’t rely on these as accurate and true. I think perhaps we just hear more in katha about the Sahibzaade's sacrifice because they were so young and it is such a large injustice. True, we should be remembering other children such as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur's son as well, that is our mistake if we do not give them as much respect.

For us who are attached to our families and to our children, i think the sacrifice of the Sahibzaade is shared specifically for the reason to show that Guru Ji did not discriminate between them and the other Sikhs on the battlefield. So that WE can learn from it and remember. All of us are princes and princesses as children of Guru Ji.
