Use of homemade face pack also covered under rehat maryada?

I want to know: 1. Whether use of homemade face pack in order to remove facial hair also prohibited in rehat maryada? 2.Shall a girl changes her name when she take an amrit as in legal documents, its a lengthy process to change name.

Removal of hair is prohibited regardless regardless of gender.

  1. Sikh Rehat Maryada is silent on the case of those women having facial hairs. So, no proper answer can be given to your first question.

  2. Girl after getting baptized, must add to her name, that is Kaur in all the legal documents, doesn't matter even if it's a lengthy process. The point to remember here is that the second name Kaur is a must but the first name will depend on the background, nationality or the race of the girl. For example, if a Hindu girl wishes to convert to Sikhism then in that case the girl can still follow the same old Hindu first name but she must add Kaur in her second name.
