If we are all equal, then why is interfaith marriage wrong. Why would god segregate us. If he created everyone equally , then why do we limit to marrying only sikhs, surely We should focus on ourselves becoming one with waheguru, and whomever we marry does the same. And the child follows the path it wants to? Im sorry if ive said anything offensive, i dont really know how i feel about this myself. If guru gobind singg ji banished caste system, and want to rid segregation, why is everyone against different faiths marrying each other. Sorry if i made any mistakes

Marriage is between two souls. It is a merger of two souls into one soul in two bodies. This is far beyond any religion. Many people marry without understanding what marriage is really about. If both partners follow the same path (dharma) then it is easier and creates less duality in the children and provides common ground for the partners to share their spirituality side-by-side. I have seen many successful marriages where one partner practices their Sikhi in one way and the other practices differently. I have also seen many marriages where both partners profess to be Sikh, but the marriage fails miserably.

The bottom line is this: when you decide to completely merge with another person (and that's real marriage!) find someone of equal caliber and devotion. The mind is only a small part of our consciousness. Religion is just a label.
