Waheguru Ji forgive me ... But i have lost interest in Simran and Doing Paath. Sometimes i feel like everything is pointless. Please help me get through this!!! I do Simran but not with much interest. I find myself unable to do or concentrate on Paath. I keep thinking that well, it's not like I'm going to remember anything about this in my next life so why bother? But I also remind myself of the sacrifices. Yet, I'm still unable to get rid of these thoughts.

I too have gone through periods of time where I didn't take much of an interest so you aren’t alone in this, and secondly you’ll get through it and it will pass.

May I suggest maybe listening to some kathas (I found mysimran.info has some great ones in English both on their website and youtube, and youtube Gurdwara Prabh Milne Ka Chao Moga has some great ones at the end of each Saturday program in Punjabi)? I find that these motivate me a lot to do more simran because they remind me of our real purpose.

The other thing you can do is find some new Sangat. I found that to be really helpful- I actually went across the country to visit some relatives and we went to Gurdwaras together and did simran at home together. I found it really made a big difference being with people who had already met God in their life journey because it was no longer this thing that is possible/far away but something achievable. I don’t know if you’ve gone to camps but that’s an option too.

Ultimately not being able to concentrate/thoughts are maya that pull us away from this path to God. Waheguru has created this as part of the challenge of reaching our purpose in this life. Really the solution to getting rid of the thoughts is to do more simran! Paath tells us how to meet God. Simran is the practical work from the paath. The point is to do this simran and paath so that we can meet God so you won’t have to be re-incarnated again! :) this is the one thing that is truly purposeful in this life and is not a waste of your time (vs. wordly stuff).

One last thing to suggest (I don't know you so I'm just throwing out ideas. You might have tried all these!) is reading translations of the paath and making sure you understand the deeper meanings :)
