I don’t know where to start because I am not sure where you are in your spiritual journey right now, so I will start with basics. “Naam Japo”- remember God through simran, “Kirat Karo”- earn honest living and “Vand Shako”- share your earnings. Be kind, compassionate, forgiving, honest, loving, and humble. The purpose of our life in Sikhi is to achieve mukhti (liberation while you are still alive) and meet God in this life. We can do that by doing our prayers and understanding Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to apply the teachings to our life. From prayers we learn how to meet God. We want to overcome the lust, anger, greed, pride and attachment (also known as the 5 thieves)/maya. Do sewa, spend time in sangat. I hope I have understood and answered your question. I think a big part of keeping faith strong is about spending time with sangat that talks about God and gurbani, and have met God. (If you have that opportunity.) The more gurbani you read and understand the more faith you will have. When you feel the benefits of doing simran, etc. you begin to increase your faith and do more.
