Relax. The main thing is you are trying. Im 20 and I say your doing much better than me.

Buy some headphones, get a decent pair of headphones that have good noise isolation (check the reviews) or noise cancelation headphones.

It's good to see you care about your dad, ask him to gargle with salt and water before he sleeps will help him reduce his mucus.

I live in a family where my dad and brother swear, and there older than me. Best thing to do every time you swear is do one mool mantar after. Eventually you will swear less.

Your mum sounds like she takes their side for some peace.

For your Amirt vela problem. Ask the sangat on their, they can advice you much better than me.

At least your thinking about 1984, thats a blessing in itself.

Don't run away, hopefully your family will learn from you. Think of this as training to do Path/Simran in the most noisiest conditions. I was at the Gudwara the other day, and the Akhand Path still going on it amazed the Bhai Ji could focus, a little noise breaks my concentration when doing path.

Sit down with your parents and uncle and ask tell them, that its getting difficult for you. Ask them to stop them making noises for an hour.

Please forgive me if i said anything wrong or offensive.

Hope you remain in Chardi Kala
