It is good that you are getting guilt. It shows that you care about your baanis. read them in English (or whatever language you are best in) so that it would be easier. It doesn't matter if you read it in Punjabi/Gurmukhi - as long as you know the meaning and it resonates within you.
If you feel it's easier to - do build up to the five and with Waheguru's blessing you'll find lots of more time to do more. Take naps so you get more rest so you can wake up earlier. 4:00 AM is suitable for me personally, but it may vary for others.
Don't worry about doing your baanis "good". If you are doing your baanis, then that itself is good. I know many Amritdhari Sikhs who neglect to read their baanis - so know that you are not as astray as you think you are.
It's fine if you go a little after 6:00 AM for your morning baanis. It's not like Guruji will become angry with you. Just relax and go with the flow. If you miss a baani because of time, make time later to do it whether it's 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM, etc.
If you are thinking bad thoughts - make sure to meditate each morning (and night). But in the meantime, make a pattern in your head to get out the thought. What I do is imagine a tile. It quickly grows and you must follow it in your mind and when you see each tile, they each becomes the same color. Rapidly though, let the colors have to change. Do this for a few minutes if needed.
If you cannot do Rehraas Sahib, just do it later when you can. The time to do it from is 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM depending on who you ask. If you cannot make it during those hours. Try another window of time maybe between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM based on your schedule.
When in doubt, chant Waheguru - the healer of all wounds.
