Personally I can understand you are stuck in a job you don't like. If you really hate it, you will find a way out. We can just suggest ideas. You can get into sales for medical equipment. Or open a pharmacy. You can even do a mastes in some other field or go in for a PhD to change your line. This might take you a bit towards research side. I would say it is never late.. Frankly I would believe you would have enough capital saved as a doc to open a store, shop or restaurant.. The thing is you will have to take a risk.. and a leap of faith!
