Personally since I am Sikh I imagine God his court or else I imagine myself in front of Takht of Guru Ji. When I was muslim I imagined Kaa'ba in Makkah or Solomon's temple or sometimes I concentrated on the words I recite. I do it even now I focus on the words I am acting, depending on the day.
