Read this article https://www.gurbani.org/gurblog/beauty/ They explain really well how by moving away from maya (attachment to the physical body's beauty) and towards the beauty of our jot (light within us), we are beautiful. So don't strive for physical beauty, strive for that inner beauty that only comes from really understanding Gurbani and what it teaches us. That we work hard, share our earnings, naam jap, that we live our life truthfully, that we don't get caught up in lust, anger, pride, greed, or attachment and the illusions of this world- power, beauty, money, etc.
