I am sorry to hear that you are struggling. It sounds like you are feeling overwhelmed and are not able to see solutions. I will try to help you problem-solve a little bit. Since you sound like you are in crisis, I would recommend talking to a professional/going to the emergency room. Have you tried talking to family, doctor, someone you trust? Professionals know how to deal with suicidal thoughts, they are trained in helping you learn how to cope with life’s stress no matter how extreme and helping you to get through this crisis. They can help. I care about your life and I hope that you go to get some help. You don’t have to do this alone. I found these additional resources: Gn frequently mentions http://sikhhelpline.com/ In Canada we have various local crisis hotlines and 9-1-1, the U.S. - Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433). In the UK and Ireland - Call the Samaritans at 116 123 In Australia - Call Lifeline Australia at 13 11 14 In other countries - Visit IASP or Suicide.org. Doctors are especially good in hospitals because they connect you with for example other supports like social work and people who can help with the debt, and then for the gambling, there are specialists who know how to deal with those problems. Sometimes it just takes different ways to solve a problem than you’ve tried before. Trust can be rebuilt. I encourage you to remove all possible ways you are thinking of ending your life, all dangerous means in your home, and staying away from alcohol, and staying in the company of people around you (not being alone).
God has given us this gift of life and we all, no matter what we’ve gone through have that chance to meet Waheguru in this life and move through our hardships. What are the things that you enjoy in life? who are the people who are important to you? These people will be hurt. Remember these reasons to live. Think about what has helped you through hard times before. In Sikhi we are taught about the cycle of 8.4 million births to obtain this human life. Many people struggling like you can turn their lives around. I would encourage you to seek help from a professional
