Dementia is structural (deterioration of the physical structure) but the mind is only a small part of human consciousness. Mental deterioration does not affect the projection of the ‘final breath’ because the consciousness is beyond the mind at that point and comes to rest in the breath in its connection to the Infinite. As the seat of consciousness moves from the conscious mind into the subtle body, thoughts, per se, fall away and the focus becomes one pointed in the moment.
