Each person has their own destiny and their own path (dharma) to that destiny. If a person does not live their dharma (which may be other than Sikh) then they learn at the hands of time (karma) and are reborn until all lessons are learned and all karmic debts are paid.

Either you rise to fulfill your destiny or you suffer at the hands of fate.

This is true of Sikh and non-Sikh alike. No dharma is better than any other dharma. The important thing is to live one's dharma with full and deep commitment. Each person's path becomes clear to them over time. The majority of people are asleep. Souls on parole. Only a few wake up and walk the path of dharma.
