it does indeed seem very ungraceful to have done this in this way. However, if the committee, several of them who are turban wearing Sikhs felt that this needed to be done out in the open, for transparency sake, then that was their call. It is very difficult to understand a particular situation without knowing all the facts. The Sangat there is divided in their opinion regarding the matter with some saying he/they did the right thing - including women. Others are giving them feedback to the contrary. May the Sangat there be blessed with joy and trust.
