If you are comparing the happiness you get with kirtan to that of drinking, then you have not enjoyed Kirtan. If we are greedy with everything in life, why not be greedy with our happiness. Drinking would take us down a path where we will be lost. Kirtan would help us grow as a soul and find true happiness.

In India saying goes, that the forehead lines tell the future a person will have. Where as Guru Sahib says that a True person fashions the future on the forehead by their sweat - ie hard work and honesty.

It depends on what you think Naam Simran is? Is it about speaking Shabad? Or absorbing it? Living it? Is true simran just listening or doing?

I am sorry @sat_mansimran ji! Guru Sahib has not taught us anything like that. There is no Sewa a woman cannot do! All teachings are for Sikhs, and they include each and every person. The issue of women not performing at historical Gurudwaras is more of the 'norm' problem and few women are coming forward to break it.

Guru Sahib talks about the powers but never 'names' them. He yearns for the Naam of Akaal Purakh. That is the most powerful force. May the Force be with you!

First of all stop complaining and realize your folly. It was your mistake you forgot your roots and went away from Sikhi. Don't blame other person. You are the actor in your own life. And only when you correct yourself, you can reconcile with Sikhi.

ਓਤੈ ਸਾਥਿ ਮਨੁਖੁ ਹੈ ਫਾਥਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲਿ ॥ Mankind is also with them, trapped in the net of Maya.

ਮੁਕਤੇ ਸੇਈ ਭਾਲੀਅਹਿ ਜਿ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥੨॥ Those who always remember the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are considered to be liberated. ||2||

ਜੋ ਘਰੁ ਛਡਿ ਗਵਾਵਣਾ ਸੋ ਲਗਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ That dwelling which you will have to abandon and vacate-you are attached to it in your mind.

ਜਿਥੈ ਜਾਇ ਤੁਧੁ ਵਰਤਣਾ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ And that place where you must go to dwell-you have no regard for it at all.

ਫਾਥੇ ਸੇਈ ਨਿਕਲੇ ਜਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪੈਰੀ ਪਾਹਿ ॥੩॥ Those who fall at the Feet of the Guru are released from this bondage. ||3||

ਕੋਈ ਰਖਿ ਨ ਸਕਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥ No one else can save you-don't look for anyone else.

ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਭਾਲਿ ਕੈ ਆਇ ਪਇਆ ਸਰਣਾਇ ॥ I have searched in all four directions; I have come to find His Sanctuary.
