2017-01-16 18:38:02 -0500 asked a question Is rapping wrong

Im a 15 year old sikh girl and i wear a dastar and have been doing since i was 4. I always used to love writing poetry as it would be an escape from the bullying and hate i received. A few years ago i started writing raps and performing them at school and my school talent shows. I dont swear or use bad language in my raps or poetry. And i only rap about things that send a message across to people like equality and peace. Im the only sikh girl in my school in england and everyone knows me as the turban rapper haha. Its. Definitely made me more confident and happy, However ive been told that rapping is wrong. Please can you help me? Sorry if i have said anything wrong

I am a 15 year old girl from england, i wear a dastar and try to follow the path of my guru. I sing kirtan and do my paath etc. However i dont come from a religious family. My mother can speak Punjabi, but i dont have a father. Growing up, i was never taught punjabi, therefore i dont know to speak it and im having trouble trying to learn it now. Im trying so hard, ive told my mother to speak punjabi with me,but i cant pick it up. Ive tried audible cds but i dont know what to do. I feel really ashamed of myself as i dont know my mother tongue and i feel really hypocritical to waheguru ji because i dont understand bani. Whenever i do paath or sing kirtan i always read it in gurmukhi, and then the translation so i understand. I always feel left out also, i feel like my elders look down at me for wearing a dastar and not being able to spesk my own language. Old women at the gurdwara often say to me that no one will want to marry me if i donr know punjabi because i wont be able to teach my children and they say its shameful, please help me, i really want to learn.

If we are all equal, then why is interfaith marriage wrong. Why would god segregate us. If he created everyone equally , then why do we limit to marrying only sikhs, surely We should focus on ourselves becoming one with waheguru, and whomever we marry does the same. And the child follows the path it wants to? Im sorry if ive said anything offensive, i dont really know how i feel about this myself. If guru gobind singg ji banished caste system, and want to rid segregation, why is everyone against different faiths marrying each other. Sorry if i made any mistakes

2017-01-15 15:10:44 -0500 asked a question What happens to non sikhs according to sikhs

Im sikh, but i was thinking what happens to people who are not sikh. There is only a small amount of sikhs compared to the rest of the population. Sikhs believe in reincarnation, do we believe that everyone else get reincarnated? We believe that not doing bani is wrong and eating meat is wrong and if we dont wake up for amrit vela that we are not good according to god, but what about the vast majority of people on the earth who dont do bani and keep god in their thoughts, what abiut different faiths and athiests? Most people dont even know about sikhi, let alone follow it?
