2015-03-09 12:43:11 -0500 answered a question WHAT IS GOD ?

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fate

My dear, i can not describe god, although i can answer your question but in a different way.

see, all the humans have different conceptions of god and they have created one more god.

this god is like their ragis or their gurus in hinduism

this god gives them different solutions of their problems only to the officers or ragis of his.

their is this god, who is known by all humans completely.

their is clearly some one who created this universe, but apparently we dont know anything about him.

but he did give us the guide to our lives which are the holy books.

you dont really have to believe in "god", just believe that there is some one who created us and apparently has his eyes on us

read guru granth sahib ji. that is the true guide to life.

there also a line it that states that

anyone who tries to describe god, shall be punished.

but clearly asking this question is not a sin.

2015-03-08 11:23:12 -0500 answered a question Am I A Good Sikh?

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fate

so what if you cut hair.

ok consider a person who doesn't cut hair but smokes, drinks and takes drugs, wouldnt that be an insult to god.

and here it is you, who cuts hair but doesnt smoke, drink or take drugs, how will you insult god that way.

if your good from inside you dont need to show it on the outside by for example keeping hair.

now would you consider yourself a bad sikh or a sikh who smokes drinks or takes drugs

THE CHOICE IS YOURS.......

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fate

see first of all i will clarify your wrong thought that "if i cut hair, i am disappointing my god". see there is no your god, as guru granth sahib ji says that god is ONE for all the religions, so how will you disappoint him by cutting hair and a hindu or muslim wont, ofcourse our guru ji said this but only one of them did and it is not even written in our guru granth sahib ji. if you dont want your hair cut it, just be kind gentle and control your kam, krodh, moh, lobh, hankar. follow the path of truth, this will make god proud and not doing this will disappoint him. CUTTING HAIR WILL NOT.

2015-03-01 05:23:21 -0500 answered a question How strict is God?

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fate if you read guru granth sahib ji you will see that our gurus have said that meditation is done to bring peace, which prevents kam, krodh, moh, lobh, hankaar. Buddha said that meditating and helping people is the true religion. yes, you should meditate, try it once and you will see its effects.

how strict is god? god is not strict. He just gave us a life and it is our choice how to live it. If god was strict you would not have a shelter above you or people would not love you.

2015-03-01 03:45:21 -0500 answered a question Confused about whether I must keep my hair

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fate

hi i am sarab anand. considering the sikh history you will see that guru gobind singh ji our tenth guru was fighting for war at the time he made khalsa panth, so to take all the people on his side and for creating a difference between a sikh and muslim he created khalsa. As you also know that guru gobind singh ji created jhatka which said that we cannot eat chicken cut by a MUSLIM, it can be a hindu or christian but not a muslim, yes guru gobind singh ji did not like the way they cut a chicken but at the end you are killing the being. I being raised in a sikh family want to cut hair but i cannot, because i am forced to and i dont doubt it for me my family comes first and for them if i have to keep hair i will.

see i am not saying that you should or should not cut hair, both of them are not a sin. just do what you want to do, and stand for yourself, if you want to keep hair you should be confident about it, so fight for your rights.
