Khalsa ji..Guru Gobind Singh ji gave us gift of turban. Wearing a topi would mean that we did not accept our father's gift. A sikh must always wear a turban. Guru ji said that " rehat pyari mujko, sikh pyara nahi"...

I think it was valid. Our guru is shabad guru. So being larrivaar or not should not make much difference. True Guru is Shabad. You have to ask a question does the meaning of the shabad change when the saroop is not larivaar? If not, then you have your answer

2012-08-31 20:39:35 -0500 answered a question What is Maya?

Maya is any object, thing or a person which takes you away from God.

For example: You decide that you will do sukhmani sahib path today but then your friend shows up at the house and takes you to mall. Then at that time your friend is acting as maya. Or you decide to go to gurdwara and listen to bani but in your way you saw a huge sale at a shoe store and went there instead, then the shoes act as maya

2012-08-31 17:25:09 -0500 answered a question AKJ Amrit Sanchaar

"if a person is already married when he/she takes Amrit, and the husband or wife has not taken Amrit, the should can not have a sexual relationship until both become Amritdhaari. If the couple, have sexual intercourse, they have both broken their rehat just as a clean pot becomes dirty if it touches a dirty one. A husband and wife should take Amrit together, and thus keep their rehat intact. It is not sufficient, for just the husband OR wife to take Amrit upon marriage." This is direct quote from Damdami Taksal website.

I think if a women takes amrit and husband does not then can you guarantee that they will not have physical relationship? NO, they will. Both of them have to understand that why it is important.

Guru ji knows everything. If your mom's friends sister wanted to take amrit and could not because of her husband and then she died, it does not mean that she will get into 84 lakhs joons. Maybe Guru ji took her so that she can be born again as a human and take amrit before marriage.

We are human beings and cannot tell what GUruji's plans are for us. We just have to accept them. Nothing happens in this world without Guruji's will

2012-08-31 02:25:12 -0500 answered a question Jealousy help

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh

Jealousy is a very common human emotion. Even though it is not one of the five evils : kaam, krodh, lobh , moh, hankar, but it is because of them. You have lobh and moh in you which is making you feel like this. The only way to stop this is to conquer these five evils and that can only be done through NAAM... Do your nitnem banis and NAAM SIMRAN and you will see the difference. Take Guru Sahib sharan.

It depends on how much respect do you have for Gurbani. You SHOULD cover your head while doing simran and path no matter where you are.

2012-08-30 23:00:32 -0500 answered a question Does waheguru hear/answer my prayers?

THIS IS A very sweet question GOD has made everyone and everything on this earth which implies that he has made all the languages too. He has no boundaries. He will listen to the voice of your heart no matter in what language you talk in. It depends on you what language do you prefer? If you are comfortable speaking in punjabi, do your prayers in punjabi or any other language.
