Interesting question from one of our sisters:

If it is true that during the time when a lady is expecting, her thought process and inclination to Guru Saheb effects the going to be child in a manner that the child would become a devout person in its life.

It is also believed that a child in the womb is totally absorbed in Simran and love for waheguru jee.

The question that bhenji put forward was that if every to be born child is in that blissful state, how come his vibrations not affect the to be mother in the same positive way as is expected vice versa.

2014-06-13 09:12:49 -0500 answered a question we were birth naked so why there is restriction on clothes we wear

Exactly ... u nailed it sir

"and by wearing turbun u dont become king or different person or special in crowd u still a human in front of god"

and we should pray that we always be in our limits and never for even an instant become "special" (the kind of special that you mentioned), even in our own eyes.

However, there is always a chance that by wearing a turban you'll realize that you were born on this earth with a responsibility, with a responsibility as a caretaker and not a destroyer . This realization might or might not happen, but there is always a chance that it happens. By wearing the turban, you are just tilting the odds a bit in in the favor of this happening because by wearing one, you'll be called a sardar many many times over, and someday that arrow might hit the right spot and that's it.

And on restriction, especially on wearing clothes, all that matters is your intent. Just try this simple experiment. For one day, Try wearing that clothes that truly (deepest level truth) represent your character known only to you and you'll get much more answers than you could have wished for

2014-04-25 05:07:33 -0500 answered a question No friendships with manmuks

But what if I myself am a manmukh

Should I spare others from befriending me. Do I really do that or can I possibly do that ...what eventually will come out of this......

Thing is that all access points that we possess point outwards and that is what we take it for.

No friendship with manmukh - Can I take it as a struggle with myself ..think over it

Let's put it this way

Suppose one is a tree...a very useful tree ...blooming into lots of fruits each season....As a tree one will see that as the fruits come and ripe, stones come towards it to knock the fruits off .. now here is the interesting part..should I as a tree stop bearing the fruits because I get stones for bearing them ?

Mann kee matt tyago santon ...ehaa baat katthaini

Mann apne te bura mitaana , pekhe sagal srisht saajna

Got to read this snippet somewhere : 'Forgiveness is the best give you could give to yourself'

try to give your self this gift

On Relationship - I understand what you are talking about and sometimes the pressures and pain would seem insurmountable .... remember you an not put out a fire with more fire ... you'll need the nirmal gunn of water to do that -- figure it out

On ' It's like standing in the way of Union between God and me ' - It would definitely seem so ...and not only now ...every time we feel suppressed or deprived of what we want to do individually/as a sangat ...this feeling will raise its head ... do remember ... nothing and any point stands between you and god - it is only I who would like to look at it that way .... try to not get consumed by such thoughts and look more clearly ... you'll find that it is only you that is standing between yourself an god and nothing else ....

Hope that helps

2014-03-20 07:15:51 -0500 answered a question Can the soul travel to another galaxy/planet after death?

Analyze/Try this:

Take out a glass of water from a bucket. Keep it this way for some time and let the water in the bucket settle.

Now pour back the water in the glass in the bucket. Shortly after, refill another glass/container.

What is the chance of same water you had in your earlier glass landing in the new container just filled. It may be fully or partially or may not at all , but what you definitely have in the new container is content that has undergone a similar experience.

Think about it and try not to limit yourself to any boundaries whatsoever. Best of luck!!!

2013-10-29 02:38:06 -0500 answered a question Why women does not do kirtan at Sri Darbar Sahib

Waheguru jeeo

The question as it is framed gives the impression that it is the women who do not want to do it. I believe at least this is not true.

Coming to the rest:

Let us ponder:

1) Is it not allowed ????? If so, who has enforced such a thing and by whose authority and permission.

Point 1 still was limited to only those who are an active part in putting such a thing to practice.

More important is the point 2) What is the contribution of rest all of us in standing up against we feel is grossly wrong in denying somebody his/her rights. How in the world have we subscribed to an act of this nature.

Committing the crime is the starting point. Abetting it is the next step. To accept the wrong and live with it is the last and the most devastating stage.

Poor we, we are no more than spectators today. We'll discuss, we'll figure out what went wrong but we'll not stand for what is right.

God bless.

2013-08-06 09:05:26 -0500 answered a question rehat maryada is fake

There was a very good article on sikhnet recently.

http://www.sikhnet.com/news/how-sikhs-got-their-rehat-maryada

We like puzzles...for we like to solve them ...

Guru saheb gave us one ...the mundavani as they call it ... and .. ehh khel kathin hai, kinhi gurmukh jaana ....

I believe that: 1) any rehat could be the way/discipline/means to something but not the 'something' itself

2) and that it is more of a personal than a global phenomena. Something indoctrinated and enforced falls short of its purpose to be means to the destination and would engulf the follower into dogmas and difficult rituals in a mere attempt to sticking to it.

3) there is a subtle difference between guidelines and rules

4) and lastly, if i believe that my rehat is really helping me attain my spiritual goal, I would realize over a period of time that my apetite is increasing (not for food :) )and to satiate it, I'll need to put in more effort, earn more and that is where you may likely find yourself tuning your self rehat.

All of us are diamonds...some need a lot of work to be done upon to get to the desired sparkle, some need a mere polish and some are already sparkling, and some would never sparkle ....

my rehat should be according to how much work needs to be done upon myself ... and see the vadeaayee that I always inside myself know how much I need to work upon myself (whether I do it or not is where I would say that i wlak the path of my rehat)

All in all, make your goal clear and then walk the path ... our plight is that we enforce the path upon ourselves and expect all others to stick to the path not worrying a dime of the purpose of the path. This act itself is the biggest injustice to any for we might already in our mind have judged others' level to be that of an spiritually inferior one....

2013-07-15 07:08:38 -0500 answered a question Why is Dheg used for Prashad? Why can't we use anything else such as fruit?

If you get a chance, try looking at the process of preparing the degh. By process, I imply no other thing, only see how and what contents are mixed and what it eventually becomes.

Also, if possible, try your hand at making it.

You'll get more than your answer.

2013-06-25 05:30:47 -0500 answered a question Are ladies allowed as "Panj Pyare"?

Jeeo jee

The way the question itself is put reveals our plight.

Are ladies allowed to replace as "Panj Pyare" if there are not enough amirthari?

Somewhere...deep down ..we'll not let ladies come forward .... I am referring to the usage of 'replace as' and 'IF THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH AMRITDHARI' . You know what these kind of questions are called ..ones that inherently make u assume a false premise in a manner that eventually whether you answer a yes or no, you are already failed cause you fell in the trap of assuming the intricate assumption.

And we have become experts at defending rationales like these by using more than heavy superlatives like puratan ..... marayada ..and what not ...somebody said 'panj pyaareyaan' .... where will we stop

2013-06-13 06:52:41 -0500 answered a question god takes human form

Will try to answer. Actually can only provide hints/pointers. Most of the work is upon you only.Try not to get stuck with the answer or the quest to find one.

I want you to answer the first past. Answer it to yourself and only yourself. ...I mean I always wanted to reach such a stage whr god can actually guide me I want to experience smthin like that... I want you to answer how do you feel you'd experience something like that - through the ways known to you via which you experience everything else ... or in some other way not yet known to you ....or or or ...taking a step further...a way not yet known to mankind....think and spend a lot of time here...... yet...try imagining what kinda experience it would be no matter what the ways were ... again it'd be like something that I have experienced...or know...or it'd be something else....

Coming to the rest ... meeting God...in human form ... does meeting god depend on these petty conditions .... need you to figure out why this specific want.....i.e. to meet him and that too in human form ...

Last part: ...we have to b very spiritual ?true to our religion ?...

Now how do we do that. I guess basic step is to be truthful to urself first for a very prolonged period of time. That itself should take care of your being truthful to rest. The very want and tries to become 'very spiritual' kills the purpose

most importantly..share whatever you find for us to learn too
