I recently made loads of mistakes and made bad choices which have resulted in some difficult consequences, the weight of the regret and guilt and sadness have been crushing at times but now I have began to move on. However there are people in my family who are not so forgiving and instead are holding me to my mistakes and it feels like being trapped in this Dukh. I know I have sinned and I will never forgive myself for what I have done and the effect it's had on my family but I feel like I don't deserve to be made an example or to be kept down? I'm no way saying that I deserve forgiveness but I've been racked with guilt for so long I just want to move on, I'm fairly young and the people who arent letting it go are old. I just wanted to ask if this is right? I'm not condoning my actions but i feel I've had a fair bit of punishment. I just want to move on but it feels I'm not being allowed to? Does Mahraj Ji allow people to act like this as punishment?

Please forgive any mistakes I've made and please share any opinions because I can't keep going over it in my head again and again.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

You are a daughter/son of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Mahraj, he will forgive us for all the sins we commit. Waheguru and Guru sahib Ji are the only perfect people. We commit sins all the time, but we shouldn't let the past hold us back. The time to act is NOW.

I've done loads of sins and regret them but we should learn from them. This is how I was blessed to even realise the path of Sikihi and I am glad that it happened, otherwise I would be in the same lost state.

Ignore what your family says, if Guru Sahib can forgive you, does it matter what other people think? Nones more powerful or forgiving than Guru Ji.

Speak to your family, say clearly to them that you want to move on. No benefit can happen by clinging on the past. We all commit sins and mistakes its what humans do.

Just remain in Chardi Kala and just keeping do Path, Simran and Seva.

All good karma and righteous living are found in meditation on the Lord’s Name. It washes away the stains of sins and mistakes. Be merciful to meek, humble Nanak; bless him with sincere love and yearning for the Lord. || 4 || 5 || 11 ||

This is found on todays Hukamnama (26/01/2015) on Ang 699.

Hopes this helps.

Please forgive me if i said anything wrong or offensive.
