As I'm sure you all know, a gurmukh named Bhai Gurbaskh Singh Khalsa Ji is conducting a fast against sikh prisoners in the punjab. Why are they locked up and why is he fighting for them? Should he be fasting also, since the guru's hukham is that fasting is worthless?

Bhai Gurbaskh Singh Khalsa Ji, I congradulate you on your efforts...guruji would've done the same I beleive!!!! I hope the punjab releases the prisoners. I'm glad you started drinking water again so that you may live longer and maybe encourage others tl follow in your footsteps. I wish I could meet you, for you are a true son of Sri Maharaja Ji Satguru Gobind Singh Khalsa Sahib Ji.

Gurfateh!!

*UPDATE*

February 23, 2015 is Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa Ji's 100th day of his fast if it does have to last the far. I hope with my heart it does not but if it does, I will begin a fast of my own that day. I, Bhagat Das Singh, urge the Khalsa to join me and show the Punjab Police that our brothers are being treated in horrible conditions in jail and that it is corrupt to keep them there. I pray that Bhai Gurbaksh wont have to suffer until a 100th day, but I'll join him if I must. Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akaaaal!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh

Bhai Gurbaskh Singh Khalsa Ji, is fasting for the freedom of our brothers who have finished serving their sentence and should be released. He's fasting for them because he loves the Khalsa panth , and where one big family and we should help each other and any one regardless if they are Sikh or not, because are Gurus have taught us to stand up against injustice.

Check this out

Below is an article taken from SikhNet

All for the love of freedom of his fellow Sikhs and for the justice which had been denied to them by their government.
What kind of love is this? For one man to give up his own life for the freedom of others! A love that stretches beyond the self so that the self has no meaning unless it is with the sangat (community / congregation).

Check out the full article, read the comments of them as well.

These prisoners probably stood up to the injustice events that happened after 1984, I would recommend going on Youtube and checking some videos about 1984, from channels like Basics of Sikhi and Sikh to inspire. Also check this website out.

Fasting is worthless in the sense that it will bring you closer to Waheguru, but it doesn't. Bhai Sahib is using a peaceful measure to free our brothers and unite the Sangat.

We should all do Ardaas/Path/Simran for so that Bhai Sahib health stays good and remain in Chardi Kala, these Gurmukhs are jewels for Khalsa and is risking his whole life for our family.

Please forgive me if i said anything wrong or offensive. Hopes this helps !
