I AM A COWARD - HELP ME FACE MY PARENTS

I converted to Sikhism about 9 months ago. I am 12 years old and my parents are neutral on the subject. I am afraid to face them because of the fact that every time I do I get very emotional, cry, and cannot speak anymore and cannot defend myself.

Please give me gurbani quotes to make me not be emotional and to have the willpower to demand that they allow me to be a Sikh and not cower before asking. I need the guru's inspiration to get me pumped up.

Let Waheguruji love you all,

Bhagat Das Singh

jao tau prem kilan ka chao sir dar talli ghali meri auo. if one wishes to play thi s game of love then step on this path with your head in your hand.

this quote is from ang:1412 of sri guru granth shaib ji

a famous saying from the martyrs in sikhi is sir jawe ta jawe mera sikhi sidakh na jawe. if my life is taken then let it be but my sikhi can never be taken from me.

another one from guru tegh bahadur when he gave his shaheedi is sir deya pay sirar na deeya. i have given my head but not my faith.

Most of all recite the chaupai sahib everyday which will give you strength to persist in the battle of life.
