Ardas question

When I do Ardas before I ask Guruji for something or before I take a Cyber Hukam on Sikhnet it feels forced and my prayer doesn't feel right. When I whisper my words with loving devotion with no Ardas it really feels true to Waheguru. I mean no disrespect to the authors of Ardas but my own prayer I feel is better. Is Ardas mandatory or am I alright without it?

There are many version of ardaas. During guru maharaaj's sukhasan we often recite a minified version of ardaas. You can start off with a minified version involving reference to ten masters and get on with your own words to conclude. Try whatever works the best for you. Thanks!

The true ardas always comes from the heart, not the head. See: What is Prayer?
