WJKK, WJKF. Sometimes I feel lost on my life. I want to be discipline waking up in the morning doing Nitnem but every time my alarm rings my mind says sleep because I will be tired the whole day. I believe that if we follow Waheguru, he will make our life better. I want to know the power of Japji Sahib and also some tips for me to wake up in the morning. I want to improve my lifestyle. Thank you! :)

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fathe.

I seriously had the same problem. You probably already know that habits are hard to break so realise that its going to take a while before you actually start waking up at amrit vella.

Obviously if you want to wake up early you need to go to sleep early so do that. For one day force yourself to stop what ever your doing and just go to sleep. Choose an ideal time to go to sleep. perhaps around 8 or 9 o'clock. be in bed by that time. if you can't go to sleep continually say waheguru waheguru out loud when u breathe in say wahe then when you breathe our say guru. hopefully u'll fall asleep. set your alarm for 3 or 4 o'clock.

Get out of bed and force yourself to the shower. try having a shower with cold water to really wake you up. Then sit on the floor or somewhere where you won't want to lie down and fall asleep. Then do your nitnem. When you've done that you'll feel so satisfied that you not only did your nitnem but you also woke up at amrit vela.

Do this for a week or two making sure u sleep at the same time everyday and get up at the same time. Eventually you won't even need an alarm to wake you but but keep it on just in case.

you can seriously do this. the only thing is to get started and not give up. Do ardass to guru and you will get there.

Hope that this helps.

I have the same question, but my situation is a bit different. I am a working lady with a baby. So I get home quite late in the evening, its not actually possible for me to sleep this early and specially with a small baby to take care of, I could not sleep early.

However, I too want to wake up at amrit wela, but then I feel tired the entire day and can not concentrate on the work.

Just to confirm if its right or not, I do my nitnem after 12 in the night as the next day starts. As I can not wake up in the morning, doing the nitnem before sleeping and after midnight, does this be considered as the amritvela?
