I'm a converted muslim who embraced sikhism and I am now in a serious relationship with a sikh, I've read things where its culturally not acceptable to have Muslim - Sikh relationships or marriages, however I believe that our case is different because even though my family isn't Sikh, I 100% follow Sikhism both in my heart and through my actions (going to gurdawaras, listening to gurbani, knowing this history of the gurus.)

please advice on what you think!?

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fathe.

Think about this for a second we as humans are all born as Sikhs, we are pure when we are born we meditated with God in our Mother's womb and were were ever so innocent and our hearts were as white as milk and our words as sweet as jalebi. ;)

So you my friend were born a Sikh but after your birth is it that you are a Muslim, Jew, or a Hindu.

Never give up. I believe in trust and respect. Sikhi is all about that. Believe in your Guru and Waheguru will guide you to the right path.

God Bless you.

Bhul chok muaf karna Ji

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fathe.

If you converted without anyone giving you pressure to convert to Sikhi, you are practicing the Sikh lifestyle currently, and would continue to practice the lifestyle without or without your current relationship, then I do not see any issue at all with your relationship.

Family is very important when it comes to marriage, however, if both your families respect each other's family and the decisions you guys have made, then everything should be fine.

Satshri akal ji, There is no problem in relationship with muslims, thats what sikhi teaches us. Among the foremost followers of Guru Nanak , Rai Bular who was king of Talwandi Sabo was a muslim. Bhai Mardana, was a muslim, who was with Guru Nanak all the times. and there are a lot of examples for us like during the construction of shri Harmandir guru ji ordered for the fist brick to be placed by a muslim. In our guru granth Sahib ji too there is Bani of baba Farid ji who is a muslim. so who said to have relationships with sikhs only. Guru ji said love all and respect all, and when you see a sikh not only have relationship with him but try to see me in him. Hope this clears all doubt.
