Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh!

There are mean people everywhere. I enjoy them very much. They give me a chance to improve my communication skills and to learn how to touch every heart, no matter how messed up that person may be. Don't react. Act with compassion. Relate to the soul of the person, not the personality of the person.

If you relate to the soul of the person you understand that the best way to serve each person is different according to that person. Sometimes NOT loaning a textbook is the best way to serve that person. Just be sure you don't speak from anger or resentment. Always speak with truthfully and with compassion. Tell the person that they are welcome to study with you but that you need the book for your schoolwork. Speaking and acting consciously (Vivek Buddhi) does not mean that you do everything that others ask of you. All that has done is to make you feel bad for letting others exploit your kind nature.
