In the Satguru Granth Sahib it says that the universe is destroyed and recreated many times, so what happens to those who have not become gurmukh and reunited with god, and when the universe is destroyed and recreated are new souls formed or are the same souls recycled?

also if no new souls are created then what happens when eventually every soul becomes reunited and no souls are left because once your reunited with god you cannot go back into maya can you?

Great question! Outside of the physical body there is no time as we know it. Everything is happening NOW. Past, present and future. Every 2,000 Maha Yugas (cycles of the 4 yugas) the universe collapses into and then re-expands from a single point. Souls continue through the cycles of migration beyond the creation and re-creation of the physical matter of the universe. Some liberated beings take an incarnation anyway, not because they have more karma, but because they return only to assist others in their liberation. Our Guru Sahibian are such souls. The etheric realms exist independently of the physical realms. When all souls are liberated.... we move to the next level ;-)
