WJKK WJKF I hope your day is going well today :). I’m new to Sikhi and would love to read and keep a copy of an english version of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. A few of my catholic friends keep a journaling bible, in which they write notes from the readings. I was wondering if it is okay for me to keep a copy of an english version of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and write notes about the writings in it. Would this be wrong? My deepest apologies if this sounds disrespectful! Just wondering as it would be extremely helpful to better understand the writings. Or would it be better to write notes in a separate journal rather than directly in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

Welcome! WJKK, WJKF. It would be considered disrespectful to write in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji. What you can do is keep a separate journal that you write in about what you are learning, etc. To learn more about respectful practices for Gurbani, read this article: https://www.sikhnet.com/pages/respect...
