Hi Aman! It's not about your parents. It's not about your hair. It's all about your own personal relationship with your Guru. There is no need to please anyone else or live up to anyone else's expectations. You be you. If you deepen your relationship with Guru Ji in the ways that are meaningful to your soul, everything else will unfold for you if you let it. Without Sadhsangat (I mean REAL Sadhsangat) life will become lonely.

Please forgive me for sharing this, I do not know how old you are and why you started feeling like this. But believe me I am 50 yrs old and can see other people following this lifestyle and feel why didnt my parents put me in this. I am talking from real life experience, take a step at a time, think about what you would like your children to follow? I am not being being baised there are white and english people adopting Sikhism, and hundreds of people Sikhs worldwide follow it poassionately. You need to find peace in the shabad, you are blessed beta to have parents like this who want you to grow in this religion. Friends and your own inexperienced lifestyle will not answer questions you may have when you are older and when life will throw you in the opposite ends of pain and misery, But believe me my partner lived through the pain of Breast cancer, chemo and thereafter... it was very painful to see everything but she followed WaheGurus Bhana, but I am still struggling with guilt and pain, i am slowly following simran and going to the gurudwara regularly, Slowly find yourself in this Shabad and this lifestyle of Sikh everything will be ok. Bhul chuk maff! WJKK WJKF.
