Look to the langar. Whole grains, daal, veges, fruit, yoghurt. Use whole grains. i.e. avoid processed, fried and refined foods. Sweets in moderation only. Whole atta, daal, fresh vegetables. Kala Chaana is one of the best! Really high protein content. Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the Khalsa Fauj ate this while traveling, and fed it to the horses as well as a supplement to grasses. Kala Chaana is loaded with energy!
