Dear All, I have been thinking about this for the last few days and now i am starting top get more curious, Guru Nanak Devji ji said, "Nanak Dukhiya Sab Sansaar"! So what is the point of God, Waheguru to make this world? People are killing each other, there is disease at every corner and unemployment and unhappiness everywhere! Poverty in all over the world, the rich are not only consuming lots of items as well as the the blood of the poor? Look at the farmers suicides in India for example. When will Raj Kareja Khalsa arise? Who will be these Yodhas (men and women) ? Are these Yodhas being trained somewhere to create the world of Bliss that the Creator saw... ? Will the poor man, woman and child continue dying in the hands of the rich, the banks and the debt collectros? Who will care about Nature, the Earth? from corporations? Waheguru when You look around what gives you happiness? when the whole place is on fire? Fire of greed, fire of accumilation, fire of jealousy, fire of lust and fire of Me,Me, Me...? what happens when so much is going wrong around us and the public can just shun away and say and think its not my problem? Eg, Drugs in Punjab? I have many many examples....

Hello! Welcome to the Kali Yuga! :)

This is exactly what the Buddha said as well: "The world is engrossed in suffering." Samsara (Sansaar) is the wheel of life-death-rebirth. As the wheel turns, the pain of separation from God, from that boundless sea of love and light, is felt by all who incarnate. In the throes of that pain of separation, people act in various ways to fill the void within themselves. Maya comes in millions of tasty flavors and, caught in that beautiful net of illusion, people cause harm to others in their attempt to satisfy themselves. Just as Guru Nanak Dev Ji saw the pain and suffering brought by emperor Babar, we see the pain and suffering of our times.

It's not about turning away and ignoring the world. We are part of that world. Each of us is called to act and speak in our own unique way. We are each given a domain in which we have the power to create change by serving, uplifting and elevating people. Find that domain in your life and act there. Take care of others and let God take care of you.

Remember, your outer life, environments, companions, surroundings, etc. are a reflection of your own inner life. You are not a victim. Change your inner landscape. Change your thoughts. "man jeetai jag jeet" control your own mind and direct it to the domain in which you can create change and then create the world in which you wish to live. Lamenting the state of the world from the sidelines of the game will only make you depressed and unhappy.

Lovely answer! But something still lingers... we immerse ourselves in Gods name and there are also children to look after jobs to do, how do we become unattached from worldly duties while separating ourselves towards God, Is all the drive in life towards God then?

Well, that's why we do Amrit Vela sadhana. It helps us be unattached and gives us clarity. It also creates the foundation for Simran throughout the day and night.
